Assuring continued confidence throughout IT Change Programmes
Changes in the requirements for business solutions are inevitable, but how do you stay confident that the changes made haven’t affected existing functionality, the communication between components, the performance or even the security of a system? Regression testing helps to reduce the risk of failure caused by change and provides valuable information about the quality of software and systems.
Two leading IT services organisations; Syan, the specialists in IT outsourcing and Server solutions and nFocus Testing have joined forces to promote the benefits of testing throughout and beyond the project lifecycle to ensure that the quality culture evolves with the development of an organisation’s IT needs.
Syan provides support and development services for bespoke and packaged applications running on mid-range and desktop systems. They are one of IBMs largest business partners and provide IT services and support to over 400 clients from The Royal Bank of Scotland to Dixons, the electrical goods retailer.
nFocus provide full lifecycle consultancy, professional and managed testing services to an impressive multi sector client base which includes Microsoft, EDS, Capgemini and Central Government.
The latest addition to their managed service portfolio, Virtual Test Service; meets the needs of their clients by assuring that the changes made to their applications do not adversely affect existing functionality.
Manually checking these things is a costly and time consuming process, nFocus have developed an approach that can reduce their client’s current regression costs by up to 50%.
nFocus MD, Ross Lister said “Syan are a highly successful IT outsourcing and server solutions company, working together we can demonstrate the developments that have been made in the testing arena and help more organisations to benefit from them.”
Syan’s support teams have expertise in many applications across a wide range of industry sectors and a wide range of environments including Linux, Java, OS/400, AIX and Oracle. A focus on change and ensuring that the different motivations and aims of each of their clients are constantly met has been imperative to their success.
George Djuric, Managing Director of Syan concluded; “We strongly believe in the value that good testing brings to the development lifecycle and fully endorse nFocus’ specialist services wholeheartedly”. He continued, “I look forward to the start of a long and fruitful partnership between our two companies and the associated benefits that together, our alliance will bring”.
