NFOCUS ACHIEVE GOLD APPLICATION LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT COMPETENCY

January 31, 2011

(31/01/2011) nFocus, a specialist in software application testing and test consultancy on the Microsoft platform are today delighted to announce that they are the first dedicated software testing consultancy in the UK to receive the Gold standard for the Microsoft Application Lifecycle Management Competency (ALM).

The evolution of the Microsoft Partner Network has allowed organisations to be rewarded and recognised for their specialities. The network is now made up of 28 competencies that reflect the depth and breadth of Microsoft technologies. These competencies are earned on a Silver and Gold basis, in which partners are stringently examined in those particular areas. As a result, only the most skilled, experienced and successful partners will receive the prestigious Gold standard. nFocus has been specialising in Microsoft technologies over the past decade, and most recently in the Visual Studio 2010 application lifecycle management tool-set.

nFocus Managing Director Ross Lister stated, “The Gold ALM Competency has cemented the fantastic relationship we have with Microsoft. As a testing specialist, we were thrilled to be invited into the Inner Circle in January 2010, and now even more so to be recognised for our expertise in the test domain for Microsoft technologies”. Lister continued, “The testing tools within Visual Studio 2010 have proved fundamental in the success of many of our high profile projects, and I believe this will continue throughout 2011”.

Philippa Snare, Director of Sales, Strategy and Planning for Developer Tools at Microsoft added “We’re delighted that nFocus have been successful in achieving Gold ALM Competency. It is critical that we continue to ensure our customers benefit from the on-going professional development of partners like nFocus. It’s not easy to get to achieve the Gold Competency and we are delighted that nFocus have led the way for our Test offering”.

The new competency based Partner Network with its hardened set of requirements means only a select elite will ever receive the Gold ALM standard, and so nFocus are privileged to be one of these select few.
