NFOCUS MICROSOFT PARTNER OF THE YEAR

August 19, 2014

nFocus are delighted to be announced as Microsoft’s prestigious Worldwide Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Partner of the Year! In July nFocus travelled to Washington D.C. to pick up the award.

The Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards recognise partners who have developed and delivered exceptional solutions during the past year. With Microsoft receiving 3,200 nominations for just 46 global awards this year, we are very proud to have been recognised for what we do best; improving software quality through ALM.

Instrumental to the tremendous win was a deployment of an integrated ALM solution to an international healthcare group. This ambitious project is projected to save the healthcare group approximately £220,000 in software testing tool licensing alone over the next three years, and provide over £50,000 a year in efficiency gains.

“This year’s award winners were among some of the best and brightest our partner ecosystem has to offer, so it came as no surprise that nFocus was included in that group as this year’s winner of the 2014 Microsoft Application Lifecycle Management Partner of the Year award,” said Phil Sorgen, corporate vice president, Worldwide Partner Group, Microsoft Corp. “We congratulate nFocus on this amazing achievement and its continued dedication to providing innovative solutions that drive results for our mutual customers.”

During July, nFocus travelled to Washington D.C. to accept the award at the Microsoft World Partner Conference (WPC) in front of over 10,000 Microsoft partners. The award recognition ceremony was recorded and available on-demand.

Danny Crone (our Technical Director) was congratulated in person by a number of Microsoft’s key executives during the trip including Phil Sorgen, Kevin Turner and most notably Satya Nadella. Danny explained, “It was an honour to meet Satya. It’s great to see someone technical back in charge at Microsoft and I was impressed with his vision. I’m expecting great things under his leadership”.

Whilst in Washington Danny was also invited to present at a Microsoft Visual Studio ALM briefing in front of an audience of practitioners. Danny presented a session on the challenges we see on a daily basis and how we’ve overcome them. He also participated in an ALM best practice panel.
